Semarang, November 28, 2024, the Undergraduate Program in Economics, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) received guests from the Development Economics Study Program, Trunojoyo University, Madura (UTM). This activity was carried out in the context of “Benchmarking Curriculum Based on Outcome Based Education (OBE)”. This discussion was opened with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Harjum Muharam, S.E., M.E as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs regarding the profile of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UNDIP.

Then continued with a presentation by Titov Chuk’s Mayvani, S.E., M.E. as the coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Development Economics, UTM. The presentation presented was about the issues that are challenges in the Undergraduate Program in Development Economics UTM, which are related to the implementation of the OBE-based curriculum, as well as its relation to international accreditation such as accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).

Explanation by Dr. Jaka Aminata, SE., MA. as the Head of the UNDIP Undergraduate Economics Study Program regarding the implementation of OBE and its challenges so far, the presentation was also accompanied by topics regarding internationalization that has been carried out by the UNDIP Undergraduate Economics Study Program. This activity was also attended by the Head of the UNDIP Islamic Economics Study Program, namely Ariza Fuadi, S.H.I., M.A., Ph.D. and the Secretary of the UNDIP Undergraduate Economics Study Program, namely Dr. Agr. Deden Dinar Iskandar, S.E., M.A., lecturers and Professors from UTM, as well as young lecturers from the UNDIP Undergraduate Economics Study Program.

After the presentation session was conducted, a question and answer session was held with great enthusiasm from the UTM lecturers who were present. The questions and answers were related to the implementation of OBE and the achievements that UNDIP has achieved such as international accreditation, internationalization, job prospects, and strategies for absorbing graduates in the world of work. The activity ended with the presentation of souvenirs and plaques from Prof. Dr. Mohtar Rasyid, S.E., M.Sc. as the Head of the UTM Economics Department, to Prof. Dr. Harjum Muharam, S.E., M.E. as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, FEB UNDIP. Then the event was closed with a photo and video session with UTM and UNDIP.
