Semarang, September 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip), successfully held a commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday in 1447 Hijriah on Friday, September 12, 2025. The event took place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM WIB in the KWU Hall, 4th floor, FEB Undip.
The event was attended by members of the FEB Undip academic community, including lecturers, administrative staff, and students. This annual commemoration of the Prophet’s birthday serves as an important opportunity to strengthen spirituality and Islamic brotherhood, while emulating the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad in daily life.
The event began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by remarks from the faculty leadership, a religious sermon, and a communal prayer. In addition, the committee will also present a speaker who will convey the meaning of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the context of modern life, including its relevance to ethical values, justice, and social responsibility in economics and business.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip), stated that the commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday is not merely a ceremonial event, but also a forum for strengthening students’ character.
“The example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the primary guideline in shaping a generation of Muslim economists with integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. These values align with the FEB Undip’s vision to produce academics who excel and possess noble character,” he said.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the entire FEB Undip academic community can further internalize the noble values of Islam and use them as a foundation for facing challenges in the global era, including the development of equitable economics and business.
