Semarang, May 14, 2025 — With full gratitude to the presence of Allah SWT, the extended family of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB UNDIP) held a farewell event for prospective Hajj pilgrims for 1446 H / 2025 M which took place solemnly on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Pertamina Hall, 3rd Floor of the Dean’s Building, FEB UNDIP.

This event was a form of togetherness, gratitude, and prayer from the entire academic community to accompany the departure of Allah SWT’s guests to the Holy Land. In a warm but emotional atmosphere, all attendees prayed that the pilgrims would be given a smooth, safe, and accepted Hajj.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNDIP, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. In his remarks, Prof. Faisal expressed his happiness and pride for the departure of the lecturers and education staff who carried out the fifth pillar of Islam. He also prayed that their worship would be accepted by Allah SWT and become a mabrur hajj. He did not forget to leave a message that in the holy land, the congregation would also be willing to pray for the progress of FEB UNDIP so that it would always be given blessings, competitiveness, and positive contributions to the nation.
Greetings by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D.

The atmosphere of the event was even more touching when the spiritual story of Prophet Ibrahim AS was read by Ustadz Wahyudi, which became the breath of the hajj pilgrimage. It is said that Prophet Ibrahim had been waiting for the presence of a child for decades. At the age of 90, his prayers were answered by Allah SWT with the birth of Prophet Ismail AS. However, tests of faith continued to come, starting from the order to leave his family in the barren plains of Mecca, to the great order to slaughter his own son. All were carried out with sincerity and submission to Allah SWT. This story is a spiritual example that the hajj is a symbol of patience, sacrifice, and totality in faith.
One of the moments of intimacy in the release of prospective hajj pilgrims

The event was then closed with a joint prayer for three FEB UNDIP academicians who will perform the hajj this year, namely:
Ariza Fuadi, S.H.I., MA., Ph.D. — Head of the Islamic Economics Study Program
Dr. Wahyu Meiranto, S.E., M.Sc., Akt. — Vice Dean for Resources
Dr. Susilo Toto Raharjo, S.E., M.T. — Lecturer in Management FEB UNDIP

The three were released with great warmth by the entire academic community, as a form of support and love from the extended family of FEB UNDIP. May Allah SWT bless their every step in the Holy Land, make their worship the best deed, and return them to their homeland healthy, safe, and bring blessings to their families, communities and beloved institutions.
