Semarang, January 20 — The Department of Economics and Development Studies (IESP), Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University, held a preparatory meeting for the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The event took place in the Main Meeting Room on the second floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Dean’s Building, Diponegoro University, and was attended by department heads and lecturers from various study programs within IESP.
The meeting aimed to ensure academic readiness for the start of the even semester, particularly regarding the arrangement and distribution of lecturers’ teaching loads. The main agenda of the meeting was the course allocation process for the Undergraduate Programs in Economics, the Undergraduate Program in Islamic Economics, and the Master of Economics Program to ensure effective learning and adherence to the applicable curriculum.
In addition to discussing course allocation, the meeting also served as a forum for coordination and communication among lecturers to align lesson plans, teaching methods, and academic administrative preparedness. The discussion reflected the IESP Department’s commitment to maintaining educational quality, improving the teaching and learning process, and supporting the achievement of FEB Undip’s vision as a leading and competitive higher education institution.
In his remarks, the Head of the IESP Department emphasized the importance of synergy and professionalism from all academics in welcoming the new semester. Thorough preparation from the outset is considered crucial for creating a conducive, orderly, and achievement-oriented academic environment for students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
To conclude the series of activities, all lecturers were expected to immediately follow up on the meeting’s outcomes by optimally preparing learning materials. The start of this semester also serves as a reminder that lectures are not merely academic routines, but rather a means of building motivation, discipline, and enthusiasm for learning in students, preparing them to face challenges and achieve their best from the very first day.
