One of the material delivery activities by FEB Undip lecturers
In the midst of the rapid development of information technology, easy internet access brings various benefits but also opens up gaps for potential dangers that cannot be ignored. Online gambling and illegal online loans are now a real threat that is rife in reaching the community through various digital platforms. The lack of understanding and low awareness of these practices often have serious impacts, both economically and psychologically, for individuals and families.
Through an interactive educational approach, the lecturers provide materials that include:
Identification of the characteristics of online gambling and illegal online loans,
Negative impacts caused, both psychologically and economically,
Strategies and tips for using digital platforms wisely and safely,
Information about official channels for complaints and access to assistance related to detrimental digital practices.
This activity is carried out directly by involving local residents, in an open and participatory two-way discussion format. Participants are given space to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss real and relevant solutions that can be applied in everyday life.
Through this community service activity, it is hoped that the community will not only become more resilient in facing digital challenges, but will also be able to become agents of change that spread positive digital literacy in their surroundings.
