Semarang, 20 December 2025 — The Central Java Association of Planning Experts (IAP) held the Central Java Citizens’ Spatial Planning Meeting: Professional Collaboration for Central Java which took place at the KHAS Hotel Semarang. This forum is a strategic dialogue space that brings together planners, academics, business actors and elements of society to discuss key issues for Central Java’s development in a collaborative and sustainable manner.
One of the main agendas for this activity is 4 Panel Discussion Session #2 with the theme “Sustainable Food Systems: Realizing Zero Stunting.” This discussion presented cross-sector speakers, namely Ratna Kusumaningrum from Rikolto Indonesia, Bastian Zeller from Nutrifood, and Femega Dian Putrianti from TP PKK West Semarang, with moderator Clarrrio Dimassetya from the Central Java IAP Management. The panelists emphasized that the problem of stunting is not only related to nutritional aspects, but is also closely related to spatial planning, access to healthy food, consumption patterns, and strengthening the role of families and communities.
From academic circles, the Diponegoro University Economics Study Program (UNDIP) also contributed to the forum. From a development economic perspective, stunting is seen as a multidimensional problem that has a long-term impact on the quality of human resources, labor productivity and regional competitiveness. The involvement of academics is expected to strengthen integration between scientific studies, regional planning and data-based public policy formulation.
Through this activity, IAP Central Java emphasizes the importance of synergy between the government, business world, community and universities in efforts to realize zero stunting in Central Java. Sustainable development is not only measured by economic growth, but also by the quality of the generation produced. “When science, social care and cross-sector collaboration go hand in hand, a healthy, inclusive and competitive future is no longer just a hope, but a goal that can be achieved together.”
