Aris Munandar is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Development Studies at Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia. He earned a Master of Science in Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia Economics from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

His projects focused on the effect of economic uncertainty on default risk in Indonesian banks, the effectiveness of macroprudential policies, institutional quality and carbon emissions in OIC countries, and the role of mobile money in digital banking adoption in OIC nations. His past research has addressed topics such as the effect of digitalization on income inequality in OIC countries, the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the rupiah exchange rate, determinants of financial literacy among Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia, the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on income inequality in OIC countries, the impact of exchange rates on foreign tourist flows in ASEAN-3, the economic implications of the CPTPP free trade agreement on the Indonesian economy, and an analysis of default risk in Islamic banking in Indonesia. His work has been published in several journals, including Shirkah.
