Saturday, August 24, 2024, the Economics and Development Studies Study Program held a Workshop activity with the theme “Strengthening the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) of the 2024 Curriculum Based on Outcome Based Education (OBE)” at the Grand Candi Hotel Semarang. This activity began with an opening by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Harjum Muharam, S.E., M.E., who discussed the implementation of the latest OBE curriculum to respond to developments in the world of higher education in developed countries, Furthermore, Dr. Jaka Aminata., M.A as the head of the Economics and Development Studies study program added the importance of implementing the new OBE curriculum in order to improve the quality of education, learning motivation, and provide the best preparation for students in facing the world of work in the future.

The speaker at this activity was Dr. Fajri Muharja as President of the Association of Indonesian Development Economics Study Programs (APSEPI) 2021-2024 and Head of the Department of Economics, FEB, Andalas University. In his material, he discussed changes in government policies as stated in Permendikbudristek number 53 of 2023 and its impacts. In addition, the OBE curriculum, KKNI, and University Values ​​were also discussed.
 

Furthermore, there was also a discussion regarding considerations in determining the profile of graduates from each existing study program. The next activity carried out was the division of lecturer groups to prepare a draft of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) according to the OBE curriculum. There are differences in learning methods in OBE consisting of Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), Case-Based Method (CBM). These three learning methods are implemented to achieve the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL)
